Tips & Tricks for X55, RGB20s, Console X2 Pro, SteamDeck & RG35XX-SP

Super Console X2 Pro Guide    (Powkiddy X55, RGB20s, SteamDeck & RG35XXSP are below)

Firstly, the DO NOT DO'S!!

You do NOT need to configure the buttons, they're already set 'up and fully configured to all systems on the device. Unless you absolutely know what you're doing, just leave them alone.

NEVER turn the console off by the button on the back, this works like a PC, if you do that it will damage the device, data won't save as it should and you could corrupt the SD card, - ALWAYS shut down the console by pressing 'Select' in the main menu, and going down the 'Shutdown'

Please DO NOT update, restore or reset the system settings, same as above guys, EVERYTHING is already set up for you so running a system update of any kind will likely cause games or even systems to not work! These games are for 'offline' use so they don't need to be updated, EVER! If you get stuck, give me a message on my Facebook page, this is my full time job, I'm here to help! :)

And now for some helpful tips

  Button shortcuts -

- Start & Select x2 - Exit game

- Select & R1 - Save game

- Select & L1 - Load game

- Select & A - Reset game

- Select & R2 - Fast forward/rewind

- Select & L2 - Slow motion

- Both analogue sticks - RetroArch menu

- Start (in menu) Main menu

- Select (in menu) Quick access menu

- Hold X - Add game to favourites list

- Spectrum & other keyboard based systems - 'Select' - On-Screen Keyboard.

ZX SPECTRUM - Always choose 'Kemspton Joystick' as controller unless you have a keyboard.

When connecting the controllers, plug the receivers directly into the 2 slots on the side of the console, make sure your batteries are new, and turn on the switch at the bottom of the controller.

CHANGING EMULATORS - Press 'Select' in the console menu > Advanced system options > Emulator > Choose emulator > Press 'Back' to menu (there will be a small delay while it saves) > Exit menu > Start game. This will now be saved as the default emulator for every game on that system (as long as you shut the system down the correct way!)

Emulators can also be changed for individual games only, to do this hold 'A' on any game > Advanced game options > then repeat the above steps. You can also change Aspect Ratio, remove Boarders (Bezels) to play on full screen, and change/turn off Shaders along with other things for individual games.

** IF YOU GET A RED 'ERROR' SCREEN, CHANGE THE EMULATOR :) **

If you start a game and then can't go any further (pick a character, level etc) this will likely be because you're using 'player 2' controller, try the other controller and you will probably find it works fine. Please be mindful that if you change systems/emulators then 'player 1' may also change.

The controller will turn off after a while of inactivity, press 'Mode' (Middle button) to wake it back up.

ADDING ADDITIONAL CONTROLLERS

Important - All of the steps below should be done with the included pre-configured controller, with the device you want connected turned off until pairing.
Once paired please put the target device back down and keep using the pre-configured controller until the steps below say otherwise.

MAIN MENU - Select > Start RetroArch > Yes

 RETROARCH MENU -

- Settings > Bluetooth (Put your controller or device into pairing mode before pressing Bluetooth) > Select device wanted and press A > Press B and scroll up to 'Input' > Port 2 Controls > Using the Pre-Configured controller -

Analog to Digital Type - Left Analog
Device Index - *** Device you want to use ***
From 'D-Pad Up' Press 'A' on the configured controller, then press the button you want a 'A' on the new device, repeat this step going down the list, stopping at 'Gun Trigger'

Please note - Follow what the words say rather than the pictures (A - X on PS4/5 Pad, B - Circle, X - Square, Y - Triangle etc)

Scroll up to 'Save Controller Profile' (If Saved and Stored correctly it will say 'Controller Profile Saved Successfully,' Back > Back > Main Menu > Configuration File > Save New Configuration > Back > Quit RetroArch > Select > Restart System.

MAIN MENU (Using Pre-Configured Controller) - Start > Controller & Bluetooth Settings > Pair a Device (as above, make sure it is in pairing mode)

Once Paired > Controller Mapping > OK > Hold 'A' on the desired controller (or X if it's a PS Controller etc) And press each button as it shows on the screen,
Set 'Select' as the HOTKEY button at the bottom of the list.

*** Please Note - Buttons A & B Need to be inputted the other way around, but this process can be re-done however many times you want.

- Change 'P2's CONTROLLER to the controller you want connected. > Back > Quit > Restart System (This ensures all settings are saved)

If all steps have been followed correctly you can hold the power button on the device you want to use and it will turn on and be connected.

- The steps above set the new controller up for 'Player 2' meaning the pre-configured controller will still be Player 1 and will be the main device in charge of most of the in-game settings, and also the HotKeys. If you want to change the newly paired device to Player 1 you can do that in
the same menu's above where I have mentioned to add it to P2. This is just to ensure that if mistakes were made in the process you can still use the P1 controller to change the settings and go through the steps again!

- These are the steps I use and which work for me, most emulation devices have 2 systems - The Menu's and the Games, they both need the buttons configured which is why it might appear like you're the the same process twice, but if you don't do the full process the controller may work perfectly in the menu's but when you enter a game it will forget those settings and won't work at all, which is why you have to do the entire process for it to work fully :)

Powkiddy X55 Tips & Tricks

Powkiddy X55 Tips and TricksRight guys so a lot of this will be the same as the X2 Pro above because they run on the same system, I will copy and paste the relevant tips from above, add buttons shortcuts and Emulator suggestions below, this will be added to once I learn a bit more about the console and which settings work better than others etc!

Firstly, the DO NOT DO'S!! - You do NOT need to configure the buttons, they're already set up and fully configured to all systems on the device. Unless you absolutely know what you're doing, just leave them alone.

NEVER turn the console off by the button on the top, if you do that it will damage the device, data won't save as it should and you could corrupt the SD card. This is a standby button and a hard reset, not a power button! ALWAYS shut down the console by pressing 'Select' in the main menu, and going down the 'Shutdown'

Some emulators have their own hotkeys. For example, to bring up the menu in Yabasanshiro (the default Saturn emulator), Press the SELECT button. In PPSSPP (PSP emulator), press the L3 button.

CHANGING EMULATORS - Press 'Select' in the console menu > Advanced system options > Emulator > Choose emulator > Press 'Back' to menu (there will be a small delays while it saves) > Exit menu > Start game. This will now be saved as the default emulator for every game on that system (as long as you shut the system down the correct way!)

This can also be changed to change the emulator for an individual game only if some have graphics/startup or button issues, to do this hold 'A' on any game > Advanced game options > then repeat the above steps. You can also change Aspect Ratio, remove Boarders (Bezels) to play on full screen, and change/turn off Shaders along with other things for individual games.

** IF YOU GET A RED 'ERROR' SCREEN, CHANGE THE EMULATOR :) **

Press START in the main menu to set up WiFi, Bluetooth etc.-

Saving/Loading issues? If the normal 'Select & L2' doesn't load a game for you just hold A on the game in the games menu > Save States - All of your saves for all games will be stored here.

Adding Bluetooth controller - Press Select in main menu > Start RetroArch > Settings > Put your controller into Sync mode, then click Bluetooth in the menu > Select wireless controller. Go back and quit RetroArch (you must quit the correct way so this saves)

Press 'Start' in main menu > Controller & Bluetooth settings > Controller Mapping > Hold B on controller until button input page shows > input all buttons on the controller EXACTLY how it shows on the screen, then 'Select' as the Hotkey. Select in main menu > Restart System (this just ensures all settings are saved)

Once loaded up press 'Start' > Controller settings > Check Player 1 is set to 'Wireless controller' > Start a game!

Additional steps - Select > Start RetroArch > Settings > Input > Port 1 controls >   Scroll to 'D-Pad Up' button and press A (using your X55) then continue to input the action button on the controller, skip all Gun buttons and use 'Select' as Turbo button at the bottom, > Save Controller Profile.

These steps have worked every time for me and doesn't take as long as it looks, you have to remember that the Menu's and the games are run on 2 separate systems, which is why the controller has to be installed twice.  â€‹
